Projektbeschreibung

Experienced NPI (New Product Introduction) Manager required by leading Aerospace and Defence organisation in Gloucestershire. This is an initial 6 months contract.

As NPI Manager you will be resposnible for the following:

- Work closely with the Product Group Engineering Project Managers (EPM's) and ensure that project execution is carried out in accordance with our standard Policies, Practices and Procedures.
- To ensure that through the engineering development phase of a project, milestones are met in accordance with customer and programme requirements.
- To make sure that all Design and Technical Reviews are carried out in accordance with Organisational Procedures.
- To ensure that EPM's manage project costs, risks and change management in accordance with organisational procedures.
- To develop 'best working practices' to improve project delivery through project execution and ensure that our organisational goals and objectives are met in accordance with our operational plan.
- To work closely with the delivery teams to ensure that 'Materials, Cost and Productivity' (MCP) savings are realised through the development and production phases of the project.
- To liaise with core Engineering & Technology Operations and ensure that the core guidance and processes are flowed down to our engineering design and development teams and adopted.
- To ensure that the data provided by the delivery teams for reporting purposes is updated and with integrity.
- To work with the EPM's to ensure monthly Project Reviews to report the current status of projects on a monthly basis are prepared
- Responsible for the co-ordination of the monthly Avionics Operations Review (AOR) and ensure that the Controls, Displays and Legacy leaders prepare monthly AOR's.
- Responsible for reporting MCP cost savings on a monthly basis and present to site Supply Chain and Engineering & Technology Reviews.
- Attend Monthly E&T Materials Cost and Production meetings to identify core guidance on how MCP savings to be captured/reported.
- Liaise with site Finance to ensure that declared MCP savings are captured
- To attend Controls, Displays and Legacy weekly team meetings to develop close working relationships and facilitate the exchange of information in a two way flow between Engineering Development and Operational Teams

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Engineering Degree or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
- Experience in design/project/cost management
- Proven experience in leadership and can demonstrate the ability to drive change
- Ability to resolve conflict
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to identify and resolve problems before they become issues
