We are looking for TWO talented Assistant E-Commerce Merchandisers to join us here in our Head Office in Chiswick Park, West London. It's a fast paced and diverse role and when we say that two days are never the same, we're not kidding

As a Non-Live Merchandiser at QVC You will manage the creation and planning of a non-live channel (Showing Pre-recorded shows and video content) over a daily, weekly and monthly period. Utilising shows, events, and themed promotions from other business mediums or creating bespoke shows and events where necessary. This role will involve identifying and selecting products/lines that meet specific criteria and positioning to achieve sales expectations. Working closely with merchandising and broadcasting teams, you will be expected to explore new concepts, add them to the schedule and monitor their success.

You will work closely with live programming team to look for changes in the live schedule and ensure synergy between live and non-live schedules. You will regularly meet with the relevant internal teams (Programming, Planning and Buying teams in particular) to ensure awareness and understanding of the schedule and future airtime use. You will be required to monitor and review sales performance on a £ per minute basis, continually monitoring availability of stock in order to make item selection for the channel.

You will use reporting systems to analyse sales data and prepare plans and reports for potential sales opportunities to present to management where appropriate.

In this role you will be responsible for;

MANAGING AIRTIME

- To maximise sales for Non live channels through pre-recorded video content
- Scheduling and preparing shows and product line up for all content platforms, including Sky Red Button, Virgin Cable, Freeview and QVC.com
- Liaising with Planning teams, utilising inventories, product sales history and other relevant market information to plan the most effective mix and sequence of products and shows
- To schedule in line with company defined positioning of existing shows, as well as creating channel specific show titles and show positioning
- To liaise with Lead Multi-Channel planner & programming department to get sign off of relevant channel schedules
- To identify and select products/lines that meet specific criteria and positioning of the show title to achieve sales expectation for that slot
- To prepare the running order of shows considering price points, mix of products, sales tools and promotional items. Schedule these daily shows into the system, being accountable for decisions made, accuracy and integrity of the information supplied.
- Monitor and stay consistent with Live channel to ensure product clips scheduled are appropriate and in-line with Live & Channel specific strategy.

REPORTING, ANALYSIS & COMMUNICATION

- Monitor and review sales performance on a £ per minute basis - considering mix & sequence of products, time of day, mix of price, and theme.
- Continually monitor availability of stock during the product flow cycle in order to make item selection for the channel i.e. stock on order and new stock deliveries, communicate channel current and future stock requirements to planning team.
- To analyse sales data and prepare plans for potential sales opportunities to present to the Lead Multi-Channel Planner and Business Strategy Meetings where appropriate.
- Monitor show performance and rotation to effectively manage the future schedule.
- Work with existing reporting systems to create and define clear, comprehensive and easily communicable reports that work for both internal and external teams.

ALL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITHIN A CORPORATE RETAIL OR WHOLESALE MERCHANDISING ENVIRONMENT. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE STRONG SCHEDULING AND MERCHANDISING EXPERIENCE ALONG WITH MAKING DECISION SURROUNDING A PRODUCT AREA OR DEPARTMENT YOU ARE/WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR. YOU WILL BE KNOWLEDGEABLE ON A VARIETY OF PRODUCT CATEGORIES AND HAVE A STRONG COMMERCIAL AWARENESS.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE EXCELLENT ATTENTION TO DETAIL, AS WELL AS STRONG PLANNING AND ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS, COMBINED WITH THE ABILITY TO THINK CREATIVELY AND COMMERCIALLY ACROSS A BROAD RANGE OF CUSTOMER CATEGORIES AND GOODS. EXCELLENT ANALYTICAL AND NUMERICAL SKILLS ARE ESSENTIAL. STRONG COMMUNICATION SKILLS, BOTH WRITTEN AND ORAL ARE KEY. YOU WILL WORK TO TIGHT DEADLINES, AND YOU MUST BE CONFIDENT THAT YOU CAN PRIORITISE, SUCCESSFULLY MANAGE YOUR TIME AND WORKLOAD WITH MINIMAL SUPERVISION, WHILST WORKING IN A FAST PACED AND 'LIVE' COMMERCIAL ENVIRONMENT.
