NON-CLINICAL STATISTICIAN - BRUSSELS - 12 MONTH CONTRACT
Optimus Search is currently in partnership with an internationally recognised Pharmaceutical company looking to recruit a Non-Clinical Statistician at their site in Brussels on an initial 12 month contract. The candidate will provide statistical consultancy in relation with method/process transfer and validation, product homogeneity and stability, process optimization and control.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze and interpret data from various sources, within the Technical Operation department.
- Compile reports, charts, and tables based on established statistical methods
- Design and manage experiments and surveys, and deal with the initial collection of data
- Process and analyze the data in context, looking for patterns to help make decisions
- Advise on findings and recommend strategy. Often with the aid of mathematical techniques and software, statisticians interpret data and communicate results
- Ensure that complex statistical concepts are explained in a way the client can understand and often advise on strategy
- Provide statistical consultancy in relation with method/process transfer and validation, product homogeneity and stability, process optimization and control
- Responsible for designing the experiments, analysing the data, and writing reports and/or presentations for internal and/or external clients, including Regulatory Authorities
- Develop/give training packages for end users
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree plus master degree with a scientific-mathematical background (mathematics, applied mathematics, engineer). PhD in statistics is an asset
- 2-4 years of experience as statistician in product development within the pharmaceutical industry
- She/he should be familiar with fixed and mixed effects ANOVA models variance component decomposition, regression analysis, multivariate analysis, repeated measures, categorical data analysis, non-parametric statistics, statistical process control and experimental designs
- Proficiency with JMP and SAS (base, stat) is expected. Other statistical packages knowledge is an asset
- Other industry experience (pharmaceutical in clinical or preclinical, Chemistry industry, Food industry) may be considered
- Fluent in English and French.
