Node.js JavaScript Software Engineer required for immediate start within Westminster based Government arm.

We are looking for four experienced Node.js specialists who are passionate about Agile/SCRUM development practices, continuous integration and JavaScript technologies and practices to work on up to 6 varying projects. This London based government client is seeking a Software Engineer with Node.js API development experience and the below exposure to technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, development and implementation of highly scalable, high volume software systems
Client-facing web applications
Architecting and designing major Internet-oriented applications and systems

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Deep experience in object-oriented programming, language independent
Advanced JavaScript knowledge, including NodeJS
PHP or Ruby as a web service
REST API architecture
Agile development processes (Scrum)
Continuous Integration tools and processes, including Jenkins framework
Code versioning/checking management, including Git system
Backend systems including NoSQL and SQL data stores (Mongo, Redis, MySQL)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

AngularJS/HTML5/CSS/jQuery
Java compiled language
Service Management principles
Infrastructure platforms (OpenStack, AWS, VMware) and next-gen monitoring tools/platforms (Zenoss, New Relic)
