Newscale Developer

SW Engineer (NewScale). Our client is a globally recognized leader in the airline manufacturing industry and is hiring for a great 100% remote opportunity. If you are a Sr. level NewScale expert/Software engineer with 5+ years development experience and the following skills, then this is the job for you!

PROJECT:
Work with customers to gather requirements for new services or improvements to existing services.
Document requirements.
Using the Cisco ServicePortal software v9.3.2, build prototypes of services or implement improvements to services and unit test for quality.
Meet with customers to demonstrate the functionality of their services.
Write test scripts and lead UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
Prepare and present for all review gates applicable to the service implementation process.
Troubleshoot and resolve service issues, defects or errors.
Attend all required meetings - team, customer and program (remote if not in WA state)

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead the requirements gathering sessions and design interviews
- Create the detailed design documentation and workflow
- Prototype and configure services including various components per design specifications
- Lead prototype reviews and document prototype changes
- Revise services and delivery plans according to approved change requests
- Develop test scripts and lead User Acceptance Testing
- Maintain all documentation for the service requirements and configuration
- Verify services are deployed correctly
- Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues when they arise
- Recognize issues and risks and proactively document and manage/resolve those with the customer and project managers and sponsors
- Incorporate and drive best practices into the product and methodology
- Work with project managers to develop an implementation plan and update them on status
- Maintain effective working relationships with assigned customers
- Facilitate meetings with clients to identify user requirements, resolve issues and define dynamic action plans

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have application technical support experience; understanding of HTML, SQL statements, JavaScript preferred
- Experience designing web forms and applying usability standards a huge plus
- Experience as a service designer on newScale Front Office Suite preferred
- Excellent verbal/written communication and organization skills with ability to facilitate meetings, conduct training and consulting activities
- Knowledge of ITIL, Service Delivery Management, Service Portfolio Management, Six Sigma or equivalent desirable
- Must be based in Seattle area but some remote work possible
