JOB TITLE : NETWORK/WINDOWS ENGINEER

DURATION : 6 MONTHS

LOCATION : COLUMBIA, SC

DESCRIPTION:

EXPERT knowledge of MICROSOFT SCCM 2012 and THIRD PARTY UPDATE PRODUCTS SUCH AS SECUNIA.

Advanced knowledge of WINDOWS 2008 AND APPLICATION SECURITY.

REQUIRED:

At least 8 years experience in Information Technology

MCITP Certification (Enterprise Administrator) required, or five years equivalent experience.

Proven experience resolving problems in enterprise environments with Active Directory infrastructure issues

Creating architectural documentation for AD infrastructure improvements based on industry best practices.

Capacity planning based on technical analysis research

Up to date expert level knowledge on various Microsoft Administration products lines

Expert level experience designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft SCCM

HANDS ON experience analyzing, designing, DOCUMENTING, and deploying large scale AD environments

Experience using Microsoft products for centralized management of logging, policy changes, and software deployments

Advanced in Windows Server 2008, Active Directory administration

Technical knowledge of network and server operating systems

Knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including TCP/IP, and DNS, DHCP

Experience in developing and maintaining documentation for policies, procedures, and best practices

Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills a must

Able to conduct research into infrastructure issues and products as required

Leading effective team meetings

Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language

Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

Experienced hardware troubleshooting

Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment

Strong customer service orientation

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

HIGHLY PREFERRED SKILLS:

Current industry certifications for Microsoft, Security, VMware,

BA, PM, QA certifications & experience

Expertise in AD security and overall windows best practices as it relates to IT security. Security expertise is a VERY important factor

Experience designing 99.9% uptime environments

Experience designing backup strategies for large scale organizations based on best practices

Experience in monitoring infrastructure systems for Windows environments

Experience and working knowledge of backup products and methodologies

Ability to craft proactive and automated scripts and tools

Knowledge of Virtual Machine operation, strengths, and weaknesses.

Experience with VMware ESX administration

Support of web-based applications for internal (intranet) sites and external (Internet) sites

Knowledge of software development lifecycles and migrations from different environments, such as development, production

Expert on Windows Server 2008

Expert with Active Directory administration

Hands-on technical knowledge of network and server operating systems

Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including TCP/IP, and DNS, DHCP.

Experience in developing and maintaining documentation for policies, procedures, and best practices.

Extensive working knowledge of Internet protocols, tools and techniques including but not limited t

o Internet security,

o Virtual Private Networking (VPN),

o TCP/IP, Local Area Networks (LAN),

o Wide Area Networks (WAN),

Experience with Projects operating under PMI methodology
