Network System Engineer

My client is looking for a Network System Administrator to work with a fast growing IT service company in Belgium.

The System Administrator will be responsible for providing an insight into how effective network control and practices are - its compliance to internal and external network and security policies and regulations and designed architecture, build an inventory of all existing documentation and diagrams, operational processes and procedures.

Also The Network System Administrator will review the collected information, identify gaps and propose recommendations as well as design and support the implementation of those recommendations in accordance with the defined ITIL processes and procedures.

The Network System Administrator may also be requested to support the operations team with; Data Centre Network administration and debugging tasks; Ensure that end-to-end network connection (LAN/WAN) is available, fast, reliable and secure, at all times, in HQs (all buildings), in all Delegations and between them; Informing/alerting the responsible service component owner in case of any abnormalities. Taking corrective action as needed; Debugging and analysing of reported problems and escalated incidents.

Knowledge about the following skills and topics is a huge plus: Cacti, Solarwinds, Nessus,Wireshark, Anomaly Detective, Splunk or similar; Understanding of network related HLD and prepare supporting LLD; Very good knowledge of network administration including operation and management of routing, switching, Firewalling, VPN and load balancer devices and services.

Key Skills: Cisco CCDP/CCNP, CCNA, CCDE/CCIE, CCAr or relevant certifications issued by F5, Juniper, Palo Alto or others, ITILv3, Nexus 7k & 9k, F5 Accelerators, Juniper SRX & Palo Alto Firewalls and HP user Switches, Palo Alto Panorama.

The Network System Administrator should be able to speak English and French.
