WE HAVE AN URGENT REQUIREMENT FOR A NETWORK SPECIALIST FOR A CUSTOMER OF OURS BASED IN DUBLIN CITY CENTER.
YOU SHALL BE PART OF A LARGE INFRASTRUCTURE TEAM TASK WITH PROVIDING PRODUCTION SUPPORT ACROSS EUROPEAN ENTITIES, YOU SHALL ALSO BE INVOLVED IN PROJECT WORK SUCH AS DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF NETWORK SYSTEMS INTO A PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- A third level qualification and/or certification in a technical area.
- 10-15 year's experience in a senior technical role in a multi-national company.
- Excellent working knowledge of Checkpoint/Nokia Firewalls (IP 290 - IP 560, Nokia clustering, VRRP & remote VPN) would be of benefit.
- Good working knowledge of Cisco WAN equipment. Strong routing skills (OSPF & BGP)
- Good knowledge of Cisco LAN equipment (Stack wise, 3750 & Nexus)
- Content switching/F5 experience would be of benefit.
- Certification such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE or Checkpoint CCSE
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
- The ability to work as part of a team, to deadlines and on own initiative
- The ability to logically troubleshoot problems to a satisfactory resolution
- Working knowledge of ITIL
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and lead implementation of Network systems into Production
- Work with peers across the enterprise to share knowledge and ensure consistent enterprise standards are maintained
- Provide technical direction regarding technology and proposed upgrades to equipment
- Transcribe and maintain operating, upkeep standards manuals for Network infrastructure
- Manage short - Medium term projects to successful completion
- Guides other analysts in troubleshooting, testing & monitoring equipment
- Prioritises own work and provides some assistance to other analysts
- Manage all changes to defined Change Management Process
- Travel will be required from time to time
- Out of hours and weekend work will be required on a regular basis
