Network Specialist

Our client, a well known Government Department has a fantastic opportunity for an IT TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK SPECIALIST to be a key member of their COMMUNICATIONS TEAM.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

- Assist as a technical lead to design and implement network projects for the data network, including Wide Area and Data Centre networking.
- Assist as a technical lead to design and implement network projects for the Gateway network, including remote site and Data Centre gateways.
- Provide senior level technical support for the development and operation of the network.
- Provide high-level technical and solutions advice to support business solutions.
- Provide input to, and assist with, ICT planning if required.
- Provide expert assistance and advice to users and others in relation to telecommunications facilities

YOU WILL BRING YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:

- Recent experience in designing and implementing Nexus 7000, 2000, and 1000V based networks
- Extensive infrastructure Technical Leadership skills of a team of communications engineers,
- Sound knowledge and technical expertise in telecommunications, including:
- Design, implementation and troubleshooting skills with Cisco ISR Routers, Catalyst Switches and Nexus Switches;
- Design, implementation and troubleshooting skills with Cisco ASA Firewalls;
- Design, implementation and troubleshooting skills with Riverbed WAN acceleration; and
- Domestic and international telecommunications carrier services.
