We need a high-level candidate for Network Security opportunity with a top company. The Network Security Engineer in this position will submit a weekly report to the Manager of Information Technology and Telecommunications; and copy to IT Director to report project activities, progress, issues and concerns.

TASKS:

- Understand Network and System vulnerability detection and remediation.
- Implement automated Network and System Uptime, Performance and Security Monitoring.
- Develop and implement wireless security policies using 802.11ac, 802.1x, and NAC.
- Monitor PCI DSS compliance; provide recommendations on PCI Controls and cost effective remediation efforts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in network security services
- Ability to understand high-level network design and impacts across the infrastructure relating to underlying hardware and software
- Expertise with STP, Virtual LANs and Trunking (VLANs), and how to properly implement them
- Ability to implement Network and System (Windows) Security Best Practices
- Ability to devise and enforce Network and OS security policies
- Expertise with Cisco Adaptive Security Device Manager (ASDM), Cisco Intercompany Media Engine (IME), CounterACT, QRadar and Cisco ASA 5500/5520 IPS
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong leadership, communication skills, and motivated team player
- Bachelors Degree in an Information Technology related field, and certification(s) in Cisco network and security

DESIRED SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS:

- CISSP, CISM, Security+, or other industry standard IT security certification preferred
- CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCDP, or other current Cisco Networks Firewall/VPN certification preferred
- Prior experience supporting, administering and implementing Network upgrade projects
