Network Operator (f/m)

Starting date: May 2016
Length of the contract: 36 Months with possibility of extension

Task description:
*Deploy, configure and support of development, test, pre-production and productions systems and environments, integrating business applications under development with the standard infrastructural components and documenting installation and operational procedures for further deployments in Data Centre Operations
*Contribute to the deployment of IT solutions in production by advising on the production impact of planned changes, assisting Data Centre Operations in the roll-out and post implementation
*Provide knowledge transfer to other colleagues in the Data Centre section and ensure sufficient documentation is available
*Investigate, diagnose and resolve network incidents and problems using available tools and referring to external suppliers if required
*Proactively identifies and communicates improvements to services, technologies, processes and documentation
*Maintain the asset database in relation to network equipment and perform housekeeping of Firewall and DNS configurations

Your profile:
*Experience with Cisco Nexus, Cisco Catalyst, Checkpoint , Cisco ISE, F5 Load Balancers
*Experience in operating large user and data centre networks, troubleshooting user and application related problems in OSI layer 1 to 5
*Very good knowledge of: TCP/IP and IEEE 802.Ethernet-protocol-suite, routing related protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRRP, etc.), security awareness and knowledge of security technologies and best practices, network management tools and availability management, DNS, DHCP and IPAM
*Good understanding of and experience working with ITIL processes, particularly change, incident, configuration and problem management, operating mission-critical IT infrastructure environments, e.g. in financial service, IT hosting or defence industries
*Work in a shift system possible
*On-call duties possible
*Very good command of English with proven drafting ability
