Terminal-tester, validation, IOT, GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSPA, protocol/stack messages

Areas of Responsibility:

The main tasks you are expected to perform include:

Radio & performance tests. Write and interpret technical reports. Analysis related to 2G/3G mobiles performance. Working closely with mobiles vendors to obtain product specifications, discuss and provide information about faults and other issues that arise as a part of testing. Managing test project schedules. Find the root cause for the mobiles' bugs and malfunctions.

Qualifications:

Junior telecommunication engineer OR Telecommunication technician with a minimum of 3 years background in the telecom testing industry:

With knowledge and understanding of GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSPA network architecture and radio network access (BSS, UTRAN, LTE, Air interface). Able to detect device and network specific issues, as well as, report and keep track of each issues' resolution. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with commitment to accuracy and efficiency. Rigorous and results focused, able to translate assignments into timely actions and deliverables. A good understanding of documentation requirements. A competent level of presentation, communication and planning skills. Knowledge of Shell & Python programming
