Network Infrastructure Architect (IBM, HP & new WAN Vendor)

CONSULTANT POSITION DESCRIPTION

The consultant will be part of the Architecture & Standards Department and will reports to Head of Infrastructure & Workplace Architecture

JOB DESCRIPTION

THE CONSULTANT WILL BE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE AS AN:

a. IT Infrastructure Architect, participating in delivery of designs required to implement the solution and assist during implementation of the solution.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Own and drive the creation of a fully integrated WAN Service (integrating the solution designs of different vendors into a single managed service)

Advice project on Network Infrastructure and Infrastructure Security within the project scope

Approve architecture, acting as design authority, in conjunction with Head of Infrastructure & Workplace Architecture and the Domain Architect for Network Services

Coordination between vendors (IBM,HP and new WAN vendor) on architectural matters.

Validate and Implement Integration architecture (design solution for integration of different vendors)

Resolve issues and Support risk mitigations to keep the project on track

Ensure compliance to infrastructure and security principles

Contribute to process and technology integration

Participate in defining project planning and approach to WAN migration and roll-out of Client components

Actively prepare and participate in project meetings

CAPABILITIES

Fluent in English

Relevant technical networking certifications

Good knowledge of network security solutions

Excellent in verbal and written communication (reporting, documentation)

Pro-active and pragmatic personality

Result oriented

EXPERIENCE

Experienced infrastructure Architect with a significant track record in transformation projects

Experience in relevant Network projects, including Wide Area Network technology

Experience in design of Network architectures and integrations

Good understanding of IT Security and IT Security frameworks

MANDATORY FIELDS

1. Relevant technical networking certifications and experience

2. Good knowledge of network security practices and solutions

3. Excellent in verbal and written communication (reporting, documentation)
