Network Engineer (San Diego/NGEN) - Security Clearance Job

SR NETWORK ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Diego, VA.

POSSESSION OF A SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- MUST have a current SEC+ and CCNP cert to be considered for position
- MUST have at least 10 years experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The senior IT consultant manages the project work as defined by the client contract. Leads medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects. The senior consultant also manages the fact finding, analysis and development of hypothesis/conclusions, production of final reports and delivery of presentations. Responsible for ensuring that the project delivers to client expectations on time and to budget
- In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP and other routing protocols, particularly standards-based.
- Must be able to integrate multiple routing protocols (ie route redistribution)
- Understanding of TCP protocols and OSI layers
- Comprehensive knowledge of Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Wireless Bridging, and Base Area Network (BAN), Installing and Troubleshooting
- Comprehensive knowledge of Routers and Switches, Installing and Troubleshooting
- Experience in Network Design
- Must be able to craft design documents and engineering work orders in various formats according to client needs and standards.
- Must be able to interface with other teams to create an overall solution
- Experience using Network Management tools
- Experience with Type 1 encryption devices, and VPN products preferred
- Experience with virtual infrastructure networking preferred PREFERED SKILLS
- Certifications or equivalent experience:
- Experience with ITIL framework
- Cisco Certified Network Professional

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- High School Diploma
- Ten (10) years minimum applicable experience
