Network Engineer - Permanent - Manchester - £35-40k

This exciting e-commerce client is going through key expansion within its IT with requirements across Development, Networks and Infrastructure. They have and urgent requirement for a Network Analyst that can thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment. This person will help design, implement, troubleshoot , analyze, and maintain a network infrastructure.

This role will be hugely varied and include a number of responsibilities. You will be required to assess user requirements and formulate network designs that accurately meet the identified needs of the customer. The successful candidate will also take a lead role in assessing the end user requirements and formulating network specifications that are cost effective and accurately meet the identified needs of the customer. In addition to this, you must be able to provide general administration and support including day to day administration of LAN, WAN and Firewall environments.

In order to achieve the goals set, you will also need to be very 'client facing' and be confident in attending meetings to facilitate design approvals and other project / production related network matters. Further to this, you will need to be able to show experience of the production of relevant system and project documentation for end users.

In addition to excellent stakeholder management skills, the successful candidate should be technically strong with skills in Network infrastructure including the following:

- Experience of LAN,WAN (VLANS,MPLS,OSPF,QOS).
- Firewalls (Cisco ASA,Palo Alto, IDS, IPS,IPsec,SSL), Netflow collection,VPNs
- DNS Specifically Bind.
- WAN redundancy, performance and scalability (Load balancing, routing)
- Ability to scope and implement a WAN/LAN solution from design to production.
- Cisco Switching and Routing
- Cerification with Cisco and/or HP (CCNA,CCNP,ASE).

The Desirable Experience includes:

- Working knowledge of HP Procurve switches
- Experience of Cisco WLC

This role will also require working on a call out rota to support systems 24/7
