Network Engineer - Ongoing Contract - Immediate Start

THE CLIENT:

Our client is a leading technology company with offices worldwide, the core areas of their business are focussed around Data Centres, Security and Networks. They have a number of high profile clients here in Australia across a number of industry sectors.

THE ROLE:

Our client is seeking a contract Network Engineer to join their existing team here in Sydney. You will be working on the client site and will be involved in the design and implementation of network infrastructure for their customer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Design and Implementation of LAN, WAN and Data Centre Network Infrastructure
- Testing of LAN, WAN and Data Centre Network Infrastructure
- Troubleshooting
- Interaction with key stakeholders and with other teams, project stakeholders etc
- Prepare Requirement Specs, Design and Test Plan Documents
- Providing input and updates to Managers for Project Planning

THE REQUIREMENTS:

Our client is seeking a proven Network Engineer with a broad range of skills in both technical and stakeholder management. This role is suited to someone with an experience in a complex environment with the initiative to drive projects forward. Due to the number of key stakeholders and required interaction, you need to be an excellent communicator.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS WILL INCLUDE:

- Experience working with Cisco Switches - Cat6xxx, 4900, 3750 Series,
- Experience working with Routers - Cisco ISR's, ASR's
- Firewalls - Cisco ASA and PIX, Checkpoint etc
- Load Balancers - F5 BigIp
- IPS - IBM
- VA - Quays
- Troubleshooting skills - LAN, WAN, Wireless etc
