Network Engineer - Exadata

Synergy Consulting Group is looking for a Network Engineer with Exadata experience for a 8 month+ contract with a Fortune 500 company in Pittsburgh, PA.

In this position, you will work on the patching and remediation team with resources to enable the Exadata patching to be completed within 2015.

This position pays up to $50 per hour depending on skill set and experience.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and make recommendations to adjust network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands.
Supervise network operations, maintenance, repairs or upgrades.
Review and approve equipment configuration prototypes, including network hardware, software, Servers, or server operation systems.
Review and approve solutions for network problems.
Review and approve conceptual, logical or physical network designs.
Develop procedures to track, project or report network availability, reliability, capacity or utilization. Develop or recommend network security measures, such as Firewalls, network security audits, or automated security probes.

Qualifications:

High School Degree and Bachelors degree in computer science/related field required or equivalent work experience required. 8+ years experience required.
Experience with Oracle Linux/RedHat Linux
Experience with Exadata platform and the patching perspective.
Experience with Oracle Databases
Exadata experience is key
