Network Engineer - Entry Level Job

JUNIOR NETWORK ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Bala Cynwyd, PA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, IP Addressing, subnets and routing
- Experience with Cisco Routers, Switches, ASA Firewalls
- Knowledge of Wireshark, SNMP, TFTP and NMS

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Assist in administering and monitoring the network
- Ensure network connectivity throughout the company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is operating within technical and business requirements.
- Effectively troubleshoot and resolve network outages.
- Be on-call and provide off-hours support on an as needed basis.
- Perform periodic backups and upgrades to network elements.
- Maintain, manage, and monitor network Switches, Routers, wireless access points, and Firewalls.
- Assist senior network Engineer with research, design, and installation of enterprise level network installations.
- Create and maintain network documentation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working hands on with Routers and Switches
- Must have working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, IP Addressing, subnets and routing.
- Good understanding of networking concepts, including - but not limited to: Access-lists, QoS, VLANs, STP and VPN.
- Knowledge of Wireshark, SNMP, TFTP and NMS
