Senior Network Engineer (Start Date 02-01-2017)
Job Description: The Senior Network Engineer will report to the Networking Technical Coach. He/she will be part of a team performing the operations and maintenance of the European Commission's network including the LAN in 85 buildings (spread over Brussels and Luxembourg), 5 Data Centres, the connections between those locations and the secure connections towards the outside world.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Responsible for the LAN infrastructure (Cisco), MPLS backbone, loadbalancers and WIFI (Cisco controllers et access points)
2. Participate to projects improving network reliability and performance
3. Participate to the 2nd level support for incident management and request fulfilment (including occasional participation to Service Desk role)
4. Testing of new configuration, equipment and releases
5. Reporting on network/security usage and performance
6. Develop and maintain a high standard of documentation (procedure, process)

WIFI Cisco: WISM, Captive portal, Access Point, Clean Air
Event Manager (EEM)
CCNP Certification
Languages:
Good knowledge of French/English (written and oral), any other language is an extra advantage
