Network Engineer

Our client located in the Wayne, PA area is looking for a Network Engineer for an 8+ month contract position.

As a member of the IT Infrastructure team, the Network Engineer's primary role will be 'taking the reins' on our Cisco 10Gb Network, F5 LTM/GTM's, WAN, MAN, SAN storage, performance tuning, maintenance, client connectivity, etc. and will support the systems administrators in their tasks maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure.

Primary responsibilities will include:
o Support for Network hardware and software needs throughout the organization
o Implementation of networking best practices, analysis, and integration into existing host operating systems, including Redhat Linux, CentOS, Microsoft Windows, and Macintosh
o Advise, implement, and maintain proper network segmentation and security across multiple applications

REQUIRED SKILLS:

* Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in Network Engineering in a senior level or field position
* Extensive knowledge and experience with Routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) as well as HSRP/VRRP
* Hands-on experience and expertise designing L2/L3 solutions with Cisco Nexus 5xxx/22xx series and Catalyst 3750-x
* Hands-on experience and expertise with Cisco Catalyst Switches 6xxx, 5xxx, 4xxx, 29xx, 19xx, RSM; Cisco Routers 7x00, 4x00, 3600, 2600, 2500, 800
* Extensive networking industry experience in handling various switched and routed data networks & protocols in a multi-platform environment
* Experience implementing high bandwidth core server farms, and high level knowledge of core server redundancy technologies and standards
* Ability to support Cisco wireless network
* Fundamental knowledge and experience with Brocade FC Switches, and Cisco FCoE design
* Hands on experience with F5 LTM/GTM including SAML and Security
