DESCRIPTION

The successful Network Engineer will have the following but not exclusive duties:

- Provide extensive technical network expertise and support to the IT Infrastructure team
- Assist with the technical delivery of projects using in-house and 3rd party resources
- Provide technical network assistance and problem determination of the core technologies utilised within the organisation and provide system administration for the following:
- Local Area Network (LAN) - Cisco.
- Wide Area Network (WAN) - MPLS/VPNs.
- Wireless Network (WLAN) - Cisco
- Firewall Infrastructure - McAfee
- WAN Acceleration - Juniper
- Video Conference Infrastructure - LifeSize/PolyCom
- IPT landscape - Based on AVAYA platform.
- Provision of second and third line support for the IT Service Delivery, and escalation point within Infrastructure team for network issues.
- Participate and assist in Infrastructure-based projects to implement new systems and technologies.
- Liaise and escalate within the Network team to provide knowledge transfer to ensure a consistent level of systems understanding is achieved.
- Publish, improve and manage internal IT. documentation.

- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and to quality from a resource, task and technical perspective.
- May need to work outside core hours
- International travel may be necessary
- Ability to communicate complex IT. information to non-technical audience with clarity.
