Network Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a NETWORK ENGINEER to join our client in Melbourne, FL.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for the design, configuration, and testing of a hybrid satellite communications network for a global cruise ship company.
- Manage the network infrastructure for a Cisco based network supporting Voice, Video, and data applications.
- Design and integrate the WAN acceleration equipment.
- Participate in the areas of Telecommunications and Server support to include Network Monitoring, Network Fault Management and Network Performance Monitoring.
- Support resolution and root cause analysis of incidents or problems escalated from the Network Operations Center.
- Administers the VoIP, Voice gateways and other VoIP related equipment. PBX experience.

Job Qualifications:

- CCNA Certification.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience.
- At least five (5) years of experience with Cisco unified communications solutions.
- At least five (5) years of experience with network design, operational support, hands-on implementation and configuration of Routers, hubs and Switches as part of a satellite services solution.
- Hands on support of Cisco products, Routers, Switches and ASA Firewall.
- Knowledge of Terminal Servers, ISDN, OSPF, HSRP, VOIP and Video solutions, VPN, TACADS, HP Openview, Solarwinds and other related Cisco technologies.
- At least one (1) year of experience with Visio creating detailed network diagrams.
- Knowledge of Cisco Router and switch configuration (familiarity with any of the following hardware types: 28xx, 38xx, 72xx and 35xx, 45xx and 65xx Catalyst Switches).

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

- CCNP, CCNA Voice, or CCNP Voice.
- Good troubleshooting skills - analytical thinking, problem solving skills.
- Solid understanding of Layer 2J2W: TELECOM
