Network Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Network Engineer needed for a long term contract. This Engineer will be responsible for providing support for the entire network, including core network switching, cable management, site to site performance, routing issues, and Solarwinds management. Further, this position will maintain the worldwide Cisco Application and Content Network System. This means that this engineer will provide support for multiple sites, but most of the work will be done in the Romeoville office. Assisting users, creating and maintaining documentation, and monitoring network performance are all aspects of this position. REQUIREMENTS:

*4+ years of experience in hands-network position
*Proven knowledge in:
-Data center technology
-Network protocols-ICMP, TCP, UDP, etc.
-IKE, ISAKMP, IPSEC, GRE over IPSEC, LAN to LAN VPN tunnels
-Telecomm circuit troubleshooting/carrier escalation
-Packet and protocol analyzers, network performance tools, Netflow analysis

*Demonstrated skills in analysis and innovative thinking
*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
*Passionate about customer service and client focused in approach
*Able to work both independently and on a team
*CCNA
*CCNP desired
