Network Engineer

Our client is seeking Enterprise Event Monitoring and Management System Engineer(s) to deliver an automated network printer monitoring solution and integrate into the corporate event monitoring and management system. There are 2 projects of work and candidates can choose which one they wish to apply for.

The candidate will work with existing EEMMS staff under the direction of the EEMMS Project Manager and must be able to:

- Work well in a team environment;
- Assist with the formulation of project documentation necessary for the design, build, test and deployment of Network Management capabilities;
- Provide input into/assist with the formulation of project management documentation including Risk and Issues logs, schedules etc;
- Assume responsibility for the quality of all assigned Enterprise Event Monitoring and Management tools-related technical work;
- Provide progress against deliverables; and
- Deliver source code and/or scripts.

Desirable experience and skills:

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or two years or more industry experience in Network Management.
- Knowledge and experience in the design, development and implementation of Network Management capabilities utilising formal system/software engineering methodologies;
- Experience with the development of comprehensive test plans and completion of functional and acceptance testing; and
- Excellent written and oral skills.

Note: Experience with the IBM Tivoli Netcool suite will be looked upon favourably.

The contract is due to start mid-October and runs until the end of June 2013 with the possibility of 2x 6 month extensions.

Baseline Security Clearance is essential for commencement. The preference, however, is for a clearance to the level of NVL1 on commencement. Should the candidate commence with a clearance at the BASELINE level then immediate action may be taken to upgrade the clearance to NVL1. Consequently, respondents must be able meet the criteria necessary to obtain a NVL1 clearance.
