My European client is seeking a Network Consulting Engineers, to help customers maximize network availability and functionality to achieve their business goals. The successful candidate will deliver the technologies; solutions and services customers need to expertly manage their networks. In this role, you will be "Client's face to the customer," working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment as a visible contributor delivering on our commitments. Ideal candidates are creative problem solvers, comfortable with challenging the status quo and rapidly responding to escalated issues. With a seasoned mix of broad networking knowledge and specific area expertise, as well as excellent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skills, they are well positioned to become trusted advisors capable of building solid, long-term relationships with customers.

Role overview:

- Participates in or leads complex DC (Data Center) network, server, storage design/migration, performance engineering or problem resolution projects.
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of applying Advanced Technologies to reach the desired architectural service requirements.
- Solves complex, cross-functional issues that cross many technologies in network, server, storage, O/S, virtualisation, consolidation, Middleware, security, applications, operations, content switching, caching and/or content delivery networks, and security.
- Applies good analytic process to help bring any issue to resolution. Ability to synthesise complexities into clear communication and action plans
- Provides technical support for customers during software deployments and Proof of Concepts. This includes working closely with the Account teams and Client Engineering.
- Delivers migration plan for software upgrades, has therefore a thorough understanding on networked applications and related dependencies
- Develops/Co-authors technical white papers in the areas of design, deployment and customer case studies.
- Provides Planning, Designing, Implementation, Operation and Optimisation assistance to Advanced Services Customers around Client's Data Center solutions.
- Experienced or knowledgeable of vendor/partner selection in multiple areas of technology, preferably in the Data Center
- Good business judgment, a comfortable, open communication style, and a willingness and ability to work with teams.
- Ability to leverage and contribute to knowledge base of solutions and techniques; ability to shift from theoretical to pragmatic is essential.
- A high degree of raw analytic horse-power, logical reasoning ability, and curiosity.
- Creative with a practical approach and have an intuitive feel for financial consequences of recommendations.

Technical Skills (Mandatory)
*Understanding of Data Center architectures, and hands-on experience in Planning, design & implementation of Data Center infrastructure projects and/or supporting Data Center technical operations for network, compute and storage environments
*Broad technical expertise around the three pillars of data center infrastructure: network, storage and Servers
*Deep hands-on design, implementation, deployment, operations or maintenance expertise in one of the following product and technology areas*Client Nexus, Catalyst 6500 & other switching platforms
*Blade Servers from Client, HP, IBM or Dell, system administration for Linux operating systems and Virtualization solutions from VMWare, Citrix or Microsoft
Technical Skills(Good to have)
*Hands-on Experience in SAN Switches, storage arrays, load balancers(F5, Client ACE etc.) and WAN optimization appliances is a plus
*Experience in Enterprise Application suites from Microsoft, Oracle and SAP is a plus
*Experience in IT change management processes, Data Center migrations and application workload migration from physical to virtual compute environments is a plus
*Experience in Disaster Recovery(DR) Models, DR strategy and design based on Business Continuity Planning(BCP) is a plus
