Network Consultant

NETWORK, LAN, WAN, CISCO, CCNP, TCP/IP ANALYZING, DESIGNING, INSTALLING, CONFIGURING, MAINTAINING AND REPAIRING OF NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE AND APPLICATION COMPONENTS.

eCRM Euro are looking for a senior network consultant for a long term project based in Luxembourg.

Tasks and responsibility:
Local and Wide Area Network and Network Security
Strategy and Planning
Acts as an advanced engineering resource for LAN/WAN routing and switching, QA and review.
Primarily responsible for the operation and maintenance of Cisco deployment.
Performs network hardware and software maintenance.
Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades. Operational Management
Configure networks (LAN/WAN) to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
Monitor network stability, availability and performance.
Identify, diagnose and resolve network problems as needed.
Ensures standards are maintained for Routers, Switches, and other network device version updates and patches
Produces and interprets LAN/WAN utilization and performance reports.
Teams with application and server teams to deploy datacenter and remote office services.
Provides 3rd level escalation for network outages and application troubleshooting
Interact with outsourced and network vendors to resolve issues and planning new capacities
Coordinate and install wide area networks, coordinating carriers circuit installations, configuration and hardware deployment
Consults with colleagues to identify network requirements
Prepares and updates network documentation
Proposes designs for network implementations to be deployed
Assesses new and relevant networking technologies
Maintains LAN/WAN design requirements documentation with accurate information
Participates as an Expert in LAN/WAN architecture and design reviews
Makes recommendations on existing projects to improve network performance and resiliency
Coordinate and design data center local infrastructure (IP transits, DWDM, Cross connections, rack, cage and area rentals)

Expectations:
CCNP- or equivalent certifie
Hands-on experience implementing, administrating and troubleshooting network devices
7+ years of network administration mandatory
Expert experience with Cisco Routers and Switches (all platforms)
Knowledge about VPN technologies (IPsec, MPLS)
RIPE administration
Knowledge about Peering and Internet exchanges
In depth knowledge of TCP/IP
Knowledge of routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP and OSPF
Advanced experience with Linux systems
Experience with third party IP-transit carriers, data center locations, implementing border services
DEVICE PLATFORMS: Nexus 5k and 3k. Catalyst 7200, 6500, 4500 ASR 9000 series Routers, Force10, Mikrotik
Excellent troubleshooting skills
In-depth WAN troubleshooting knowledge
Experience working independently with service providers
Experience working with and managing OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, BGP Policy based routing, Quality of Service (QoS), IGMP Multicasting, VPNs, ACLs, MPLS, IP, VoIP, NAT.
LAN technologies to include VLANs, VRFs, Port-channels and VPCs.
Knowledge about- and experience with network monitoring tools
Experience with Scripting languages like Perl.
