Network Analyst/Administrator (Network Security Experience) Job

NETWORK ANALYST/ADMINISTRATOR needed for a 4 MONTHS CONTRACT TO HIRE role at CHULA VISTA, CA

THE BIG PICTURE:

- Responsible for the management and security of networks (security, Firewall, VPN) that make up the complex tolling system for the South Bay Expressway.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- WAN/LAN ENVIRONMENT- configuration and management work experience
- FIREWALL EXPERIENCE (client is using Fortigate, similar or deep understanding of other vendor products is mandatory)
- IPS (INTRUSION PREVENTION SYSTEM)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Network Analyst/Administrator will actively PROTECT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ASSETS AND INFRASTRUCTURE FROM EXTERNAL OR INTERNAL THREATS and ensure compliance with STATUTORY AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS REGARDING INFORMATION ACCESS, SECURITY AND PRIVACY.
- Network Analyst/Administrator will DESIGN, CONFIGURE, DEPLOY, AND MAINTAIN ENTERPRISE SECURITY AND NETWORKING INFRASTRUCTURE INCLUDING ROUTERS, SWITCHES, FIREWALLS, INTRUSION PREVENTION SYSTEMS, virtual private networks and Voice Over IP. Implement and maintain data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems.
- Network Analyst/Administrator will monitor and analyze enterprise security configurations and logs, configure and implement effective countermeasures as required; perform vulnerability assessments, produce security audit reports; recommend corrective actions to security procedures and programs; coordinate regulatory security audits with external vendors

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- At least three years of progressive career development SUPPORTING NETWORK, SECURITY, AND VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS.
- Knowledge of network access and control protocols and wireless encryption technologies and routing protocols; knowledge of various network monitoring tools and authentication software.
- Experience with Fortigate or Sonicwall Firewalls.
- Knowledge of data security standards, working in a Regulatory compliance environment
