NET Software Developer

Position Title: .NET Software Developer

Duration: 12 Months- Contract to Perm

Location: Atlanta, GA 30309

Our client is seeking an experienced .NET developer for a 12 month, contract position in Midtown Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience using Microsoft development tools and practices, and have an excellent grasp of the .NET Framework and C# to code a suite of multi-tier, event-driven applications.

.NET DEVELOPER RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Interface with internal business partners and internal IT application programmers for both new development and problem determination/resolution
- Adhere to the established change control policies and prescribed procedures
- Produce documentation and procedures as per company standards
- Correct reported problems with software under his/her responsibility
- Utilize a problem management tool to track open tickets and follow up to resolution and closure
- Execute special projects or other related duties as required
- Develop new functionality per business partner requests in a standard release cycle

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or related field
- 3 years' experience with the following: n-tier architecture development, windows and web services development experience, WCF, WPF, and XAML
- 3+ years (technically proficient) in C# language
- Thorough understanding of the .NET framework (4.0 and higher)
- Good understanding of user interface design principles
- Ability to provide high quality code for mission critical applications

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

- Developing loosely coupled systems using dependency injection
- Building control templates and custom controls for WPF applications
- Developing publish/subscribe event-driven applications
- Use of the Microsoft Extensibility Framework
- Developing MVVM-based Windows applications
