NET Software Architect

Yoh has a long-term one (1-year) contract opportunity for a SOFTWARE ARCHITECT to join our client in Charlotte, NC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical oversight and day to day activities of application developers and vendor configurations tasks.
- Develop work break down structure based on specific assigned scope, and work with vendor to schedule vendor deliverables.
- Work with Project Architects to create high level design and detailed design deliverables.
- Work with Support Manager to understand needs for support.
- Track and report technical tasks status appropriately to Project Manager.
- Work effectively with the business to quickly learn the process, culture, and relationships.
- Responsible for translating functional requirements into technical solutions and overseeing the work done by the developers.
- Works closely with the Solution Architect to ensure standard development methods and tools are used. Provides coordination and leadership of technical aspects of projects.
- Model and translate functional requirements into an approved high-level technical design
- Constructs application design packages for new or modified components using existing IT standards
- Provide oversight to ensure all software detail design components are integrated, reviewed, coded and tested to support the high level design and technical standards.
- Assists in tracking technical work plan and schedule.
- Communicate issues, risks, status, etc. to Project Manager.
- Ensures that technical design supports the functional requirements.
- Execute the transition plan to support plan
- Review and approve detailed design to ensure compliance with high-level design and department standards.

Job Qualifications:
- At least three (3) plus years of technical leadership experience as a Lead Developer, or Software Architect
- Minimum seven to ten (7-10) years as a Software/Application Developer
- Must have UML, Rational Rose, EAI, or equivalent modelling experience
- Object Oriented .NET Development
- Web Services experience
- Experience in all phases of the SDLC life cycle.
- Strong understanding and experience in SOA Design Patterns and Best Practices
- Strong understanding and experience with Web Services Patterns and Best Practices
- Strong understanding of data and database modelling concepts.
- Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming principles
- Visual Studio 2008
- .NET C# 3.5 or above
- XML

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- APEX (Oracle Application Express) or LIMS experience is strongly preferred
- ETL experience is preferred
