NET Developer

Our direct client is looking for a .NET Developer for their location in the greater Hartford area. Prior insurance experience is a plus!

Responsibilities will include:

- Design, code and test application programs
- Develop and execute test scenarios and test cases for unit and integration testing
- Participate on technology project team; effectively interact with Business Analysts, Architects, Project Management, Quality Assurance specialists and other developers
- Ensure compliance with all software and infrastructure standards within the client.
- Adhere to SDLC project management methodology and standards applicable to assigned work

Required:

- Minimum of 5 years of application development experience. Senior developer
- Strong VB.NET, strong SQL experience, Design Skills
- Skilled in Fat Client development.
- Able to code GUI's
- Good understanding of Data Sets
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Ability to be proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, creative, inquisitive and persistent
- Knowledge and experience working on high profile technology projects
- Confident and competent working in a fast paced environment
- Ownership and accountability for own work
- Focus on quality deliverables
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Works independently, with little oversight
- Demonstrates analytical abilities and the capability to bring tasks from start-up to completion
