Project Overview/Role Description

Our client, a nuclear site, are looking for a .NET Developer to add to their highly skilled team based at their location in Workington, Cumbria. The .NET Developer must operate as an effective member of an agile development team who will be collectively responsible for meeting the goals of the project. The team member will expected to operate across the full software life cycle and possess skills focused around the Microsoft .NET toolset.

Objective

As a .NET developer you will be required to work as a member of a dynamic team developing, testing and implementing features based on the scope which is controlled by the product owner.

Deliverables (for contract)

The main deliverable for the Project is to replace and interface with existing nuclear material accountancy systems to the satisfaction of regulatory requirements. The .NET developer will support this delivery by developing, testing and implementing functionality to meet these requirements.

Essential/Desirable Skills

ESSENTIAL
Microsoft .NET and Oracle Toolset experience. Experience in an scrum development team;. Analyse business experience. Estimation of requirements and tasks. Work to agreed coding standards. Participated in code reviews in an open and honest manner. Be able to Manage bug reports to completion. Be able to Research and make technology recommendations (including planning for upgrades of existing technology). Good Communication Skills, ie Give presentations to other team members if required, to share understanding of the business, technology or knowledge of the system and to be able to Give system demonstrations
