Net/C# Developer x2 Birmingham - Government

large government client in Birmingham is looking for 2 .Net/C# Developers for 6 months contracts ASAP.

Working within the Application Support Team, the individual will be responsible for undertaking development work to fix faults, enhance and change the business applications against Business Requirements that have been produced in response to requests for change. They will also provide business as usual support to staff; dealing with service requests and resolving incidents in a timely and effective manner.

These posts are central to Development and design continuing to deliver timely and quality solutions in respect of requests for change and in also supporting the business applications.

Essential Skills

* Proven experience (at least 3 years) of developing enterprise applications using C# or other comparable development languages
* Knowledge or experience of relational databases including the use of SQL to manipulate data
* Sound understanding of the full Systems Development lifecyle and experience of working with different development methodologies including Waterfall and Agile
* Proven ability to quickly learn and become effective in the development of new and various business applications
* Proven experience of translating Business Requirements into Technical Designs and producing timely and quality end solutions that meet the business need
* Strong interpersonal and team working skills

Desirable Skills

* Visual Studio 2008, including Team Foundation Server
* Exposure to Wisdom, Thunderhead, Websphere, Business Objects
* Central Government sector experience
