NAS Storage-Netapp Systems

My client a leading Australian employer is looking for a NAS Storage Designer-NetApp Systems to join their team on an initial 6 month contract basis with possibility of an extension. The role is technical and requires creative and analytical ability to understand the interrelationships of my client's strategic storage management system products.

Responsibilities of the role:

- Creation of high quality design documentation according to specific design standards and templates.
- Communicate with various customers Operational/Technical/Internal Helpdesk/support teams and management
- Enter system commands and perform assigned design requests reflecting requirements documentation.
- Reviews description of business requirements and conceptual system designs to provide direction on storage changes
- Manages overall physical & virtual storage structures for business functionality, data integrity, performance, recoverability, maintenance, and space requirement considerations
- Navigate and utilise network and Workstation utilities
- Maintain online documentation.
- Execute change management activities
- Provide mentoring and support to junior team members

The ideal candidate will have the following:

- Knowledge of design processes and documentation according to Blueprint standards.
- Knowledge with one or more flavours of Unix System (Sun Solaris, HPUX, AIX, Linux etc) - Level 3
- Knowledge of enterprise disk & management tools (DFM) - Level 4
- Knowledge of NAS backup & recovery tools (snapvault/snapmirror/snaprestore) - Level 5
- Experience in the creation of technical design documentation - Level 4
