Murex Project Manager - Fixed Income - Sydney CBD - Bank

Our client is a leading super-regional bank with expanding business streams across Asia and Australia. They are growing a highly skilled team that is constructed with IT professionals and Fixed Income SME's from leading international banks. Due to ongoing developments and new budget sign off, they are now looking for a Senior Project Manager to assist with the implementation and customization of vendor and in-house built technologies.

Our client is a leading global financial institution. This role is situated in a Fixed Income team focusing on projects running concurrently across all Asia markets and office locations. The environment is technology driven and the team has a strong attitude and drive towards successfully meeting their goals.

The role itself is heavily imbedded in the business and will require you to work very closely with Fixed Income traders, sales, risk and product control. Thus, a very sound grounding in Fixed Income trading processes is paramount. You will be required to author and take full ownership of multiple projects. You will then use these to effectively communicate with the team to translate the business requirements into conclusive technical solutions.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

- Background in Project Management with experience running high profile projects in leading finance institutions
- In-depth understanding of the Fixed Income Product suite (Bonds/Rates/Risk etc..)
- Murex Project Management experience - Ideally version 3.1
- ION Marketview Familiarity
- Large Project Budget experience
- Excellent communication and man management capabilities
- Experience in estimating IT projects and proposal/Tender preparation
- Experience in Vendor and Client Management
