Murex Application Support Specialist - English Speaking Contract in Zu

For a global bank based here in Zurich we are looking for a Murex Application Specialist to join the team.

THE JOB:

- For our team "Cross Product Processing - PHOENIX II & Murex Investigations" located in Zurich, we are looking for an IT Application Production Specialist for Phoenix II and Murex
- Phoenix II is a standard Java Application to create, maintain, control, report and chase the status of OTC Derivatives trade Confirmations using the online banking platform Direct-Net/EOS
- Murex is a vendor application which is used for life cycle management and sub-ledger system of OTC IRDs, EQDs and FX/PM Options,the GUI is a workflow-based system with an underlying Oracle database and a Unix file system.
- A challenging role as Application Specialist, working as an interface between developers and business support
- Act as investigation support line incident analyst and provide general expertise to investigate, diagnose and apply workarounds and standard solutions
- Close cooperation with 2nd level technical support to clarify questions about the content of incidents or their classification
- Involve 3rd level support for complex issues
- Responsibility to raise change requests to trigger implementation of workarounds or solutions to incidents
- Process ownership for problem management
- Responsibility to contribute to knowledge management process

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH:

- MINIMUM OF 1 YEARS COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE SUPPORTING MUREX
- BASIC UNIX AND SQL KNOW-HOW
- Nice to have: Knowledge of Interest Rate, Equity and Credit derivatives and options
- Proven level of personal competences such as communication, sense of urgency, delivery orientation
- Knowledge of P&L systems and Back Office accounting are of advantage
- Certifications in ITIL or software management are of advantage
- Fluent English language skills are mandatory
