JOB OVERVIEW:

A Software Engineering position exists in the Mission Systems Display Computer Team, the role will cover the design, code and test of new functionality to an existing design and target architecture. This task will include the use of established methods and tools in developing/testing/maintaining the head-up and head-down displays application software.

KEY TASKS & KEY SKILLS:

- Development of Mission Critical Application Software using Ada.
- Development of the Design using UML.
- Requirements traceability using DOORS.
- Ability to read requirements written in CoRE.
- Unit testing with the use of VectorCast.
- SW/SW host integration testing using a bespoke environment based on ADASS.
- HW/SW integration testing using a Stage 2 rig.
- Use of AdaMulti.
- Script development under Windows and Unix.

MORE DETAILS ABOUT THE PROJECT

A fast jet aircraft Mission Systems Display Computer is being updated as part of our client contract. The modified aircraft OFP software must be tested to ensure it fulfils the new requirements. The OFP software must be unit tested, integration tested in a host environment and then formally qualified using the target hardware on a stage 2 rig. The purpose of the job is to update the unit, host and stage 2 test scripts and carry out the unit, informal integration testing and formal stage 2 testing. In addition the incumbent will be required to assist in the development of the OFP source code as necessary.
