MSBI Dev Team Lead - Central London

I am working with a market leading Data Analytics Company in their search for a senior MSBI Developer to take the role of lead developer / team lead within their rapidly expanding, highly skilled BI team.

The successful MSBI Developer will be responsible for leading the development team in providing BI/DW solutions within a RAD framework, whilst working very closely with the BI application architect to design and implement the Business Intelligence solutions for Business units and customers. The successful MSBI Developer will ensure BI application systems are meeting required operational standards and performance levels (as measured by reliability, response time, query execution time, etc.).

The key responsibilities of the MSBI Developer / Team Lead will include:

- Plan, conducts and coordinates the application of databases designs and implementation processes to existing and futures BI offerings
- Perform database and BI tool analysis and database design tasks
- Ensure that databases and BI tools meet required operational standards and performance levels (as measured by reliability, response time, query execution time, etc)
- Act as senior consultant for lower staff providing technical advice and consultation on database analysis and database design reviews
- Prepare recommendations based on potential database design and implementation approaches as well as backup and recovery strategies
- Able to work with geographically dispersed teams and under the guidance of business and application architect
- Provide documentation, training and support to the intended audience
- Provide technical leadership to the business units and customers

The skills required for this role include:

- Experience leading a development team
- Hands on experience as a BI Developer
- Full Software Development Life Cycle onEnterpriseBI Systems
- SQL Server relational database and analysis services development
- T-SQL and MDX (for analysis services cubes)
- Good business intelligence experience including architecture, data modelling, techniques, ETL, OLAP and reporting
- Good knowledge of multiple BI and DW tools like MS SQL Server Suite (SQL Server database, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), Excel Services, Performance Point Server (PPS), Qlikview and Strategy Companion Analyser (SCA)
