MS SQL Database Administrator (with SC) - EU-Agency-Client - 265 w/day

We currently have a vacancy for 1xMS SQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR to offer his/her services within a European agency (client) in The Hague to start 03/01/2018 (not later than 08/01/2018) a 265 w/days contract (initial) in an EN-speaking environment. Extensions are possible until 10/07/2020.

Our client is an international Organisation and a great reference in any CV.PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL THE CANDIDATES FOR THIS POSITION MUST ALREADY HOLD A SECURITY CLEARANCE AND PRESENT IT FOR VERIFICATION.

DURATION: Long Term (265 man days)

Start date: 03/1/2018 (not later than 08/01/2018)

End date: 31/03/2019

Client may decide to extend the service performance one or several times up to a maximum of additional 280 of working days to be performed at the latest by 10/07/2020.

TASKS
- Ensure business continuity of critical production databases containing sensitive data, in a secure high availability and disaster recovery enterprise environment
- Analyse database performance issues and provide resolutions via query tuning and optimization
- Provide second line support for the Europol users and customers for the resolution of incidents and problems related to databases and applications and assist third line support escalations;
- Execute planned and unplanned database maintenance as described by the applicable procedures;
- Supply the installation, technical, support and maintenance documentation;
- Design, implement and maintain operational procedures;
- Monitor, support and maintain production databases;
- Liaise with developers and external suppliers to provide database related support for specific projects in the area of ICT operations

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- A minimum of 7 years of experience as an ICT consultant
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Microsoft SQL server technologies
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Microsoft OS technologies
- A minimum of 2 year experience in administration and configuration of High Availability and Disaster Recovery based systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft OS technologies
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server technologies
- Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization
- Working knowledge of English required as all services will be performed in English (min. level B2).

Desirable:

- Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and components
- Knowledge of Oracle technologies
- Knowledge of Unix and Linux Environments
- Knowledge of VmWare virtualization environment
