MQ z/OS Consultant

MQ Z/OS CONSULTANT /6 MONTH CONTRACT/ZURICH, SWITZERLAND/625 CHF PER DAY

A leading American owned multinational consultancy is working on a long term project with a leading Swiss global bank and is seeking an MQ Consultant with z/OS skills to join them onsite in Zurich for a large upgrade.

Core Duties:

- Interact with stakeholders around the planning of security remediation work
- Execute the remediation
- Provide support to application teams during non-production and production remediations
- Adhere to teams documentation
- Work in a timely manner to meet all individual and project target dates
- Report status as required in an organised and precise manner

The successful candidate should:

- Have excellent technical skills in WebSphere MQ (version 6/7/8) including good knowledge of applying SSL to MQ (Server and client)
- Ideally have worked in a complex MQ environment Mainframe/unix where MQ security is important
- Have solid z/OS skills. Unix (Linux/Solaris) skills will be useful
- Possess good general PC skills
- Be a team player with good organisational and communication skills
- Possess the ability to quickly envisage the operating landscape of the bank and the specific scope of the project engaged in
- Have the capacity to quickly grasp an understanding of all the processes necessary to achieve the allotted tasks
- Show drive and commitment
- Strive for excellence in all tasks
- Have good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Take responsibility for allocated tasks and see them through to successful completion
- Be prepared for some weekend work when production remediations occur
