Monitoring Specialist Needed

Monitoring Specialist currently needed on behalf of a banking client based in Zurich.

Your main task will be to support a high performing and collaborative set of customer groups and be a key Contributor to the monitoring improvement project.

We are looking for consultants with the following:
* the ability to communicate technical ideas effectively (in both verbal and written forms) and solve complex problems in a team environment
* Co-ordination for specific monitoring related topics
* Incident management and 3rd party application maintenance and support
* Support to business areas in their technical testing in test and integration

Environments
* Preparation of training documentation and execution of user trainings
* Demonstrated ability to configure and manage multi-OS environments (RedHat, Solaris, MS Server 2008/2012 R2)
* Superior knowledge of monitoring tools (Nagios or Check_MK)
* Thorough understanding of conceptual implementation of monitoring solutions
* Competent in Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft SQL
* Experience in working in an international team with native and non-native English-speakers
* Fluent in spoken and written English
* German language skills will be considered a plus
* Technical know-how in operating systems, databases and applications (preferred)

Required Experience:
* Business analysis
* University degree or equivalent in computer science or engineering
* Programming experience

This is a long-term contract opportunity - 12 month contract - paying excellent rates
