MOD GP Training Opportunity

CRG Locums are one of only three suppliers providing all grades of healthcare locums to the MoD. The MoD has requested GPs who would like the opportunity to gain MoD experience to attend a training day in Nottinghamshire. There are only 8 positions available so please do urgently let us know if you would like to be put forward for this training day.

The training day will be held on 15th January 2013 from 08:30 - 16:30 with half an hour unpaid lunch.

We will of course pay you an hourly rate for attending and some travel contribution will be paid.

Assignment Details:

•The training will involve lectures from the full time CMP's and the SMO. No patients will be involved, however role play using a military member of staff will be used.
•The chosen GPs will be conducting OM screening of soldiers deploying on operations
•Subjects covered will be the following:
oAn introduction to the PAP 2012 V3 (Medical Administration Pamphlet)
oFamiliarisation of a soldiers' personnel military equipment
oCase conferences (past and present)
oFunctional test
oIntroduction to the facility and systems of work
oSenior Medical Officers Brief

Essential Requirements:

•Full registration and licence with the GMC
•Member of a health authority performers list (PCT)
•UK vocational training or the equivalent
•All work through CRG Locums is subject to full registration with CRG Locums. We will be unable to put your name forward for this training day until you are fully registered
