MOBILE DEVELOPER - JQUERY MOBILE

SKILLS: Ruby on Rails (ROR), jQuery Mobile, HTML5, CSS and recent experience developing UI for mobile devices

SUMMARY:

This is a 6 month+ contract opportunity in the Cobb Galleria area. REMOTE WORK an option! Client has immediate need (will interview and hire ASAP) for a RoR Mobile Developer with strong jQuery skills. Initially, the Developer will help take existing frameworks into production and will then begin the iterative process to develop a robust P2P (Person 2 Person) mobile application product. Work with a small team and have lots of autonomy, ownership and influence on their mobile design and product!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop, create, and modify mobile apps software. Responsible for designing mobile software for external P2P (Person 2 Person) Payment Product
- Review and approve modifications to existing mobile software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
- Counsel team and senior leadership about mobile software system design and maintenance
- Counsel systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
- Develop and direct mobile software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experienced Ruby on Rails (RoR) Developer
- Experience with CSS/CSS3, HTML/HTML5, JQuery Mobile and similar technologies
- Must have experience developing UI for mobile devices such as Android, IOS, BlackBerry, or Windows Phone.
- Should have a through and solid knowledge of design and development issues that are inherent in Mobile systems and propose novel and innovate solutions to problems.
- Expert ability to work independently and manage one's time
- Technical pluses include MVC framework, Mvvm, JavaScript. RESTful web services, CakePHP (not required, simply nice to have )
