MOBILE APPLICATIONS VISUAL DESIGNER needed for a LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION DOES NOT ALLOW FOR WORKING REMOTELY, AS SUCH THE INCUMBENT MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN CLIENT'S CHARLOTTE, NC LOCATION.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Duke Energy is introducing new Mobile Technology for its Electric and Gas Transmission and Distribution and Supply Chain business units. New mobile apps will be developed and mobile devices deployed to the field for construction, maintenance, and materials management.
- This resource is responsible for supporting the user interface digital design focusing on maintaining alignment with client corporate design/style standards and providing a modern visual experience for the user.
- Deliverables will include applying the artistic, graphical design component to interactive wireframes and/or simulations/prototypes of mobile apps.
- Design and maintain a growing set of mobile UI (User Interface) component libraries (screen elements, titles, text, images, icon libraries, buttons, cursors, menus, form elements, window controls, application controls, borders, shadows, page layouts, error screens, counters, scrollbars, gesture hints, etc.) that comply with Duke Energy's brand guidelines, for known and emerging mobile devices and screen sizes
- Create documents, document templates, and artifacts (slide templates, headers, charts and graphs, dividers, title pages, image libraries, web page templates, pdf templates, team biographies and photos, etc.) for internal presentations and technical documentation, on both a scheduled and as-needed basis
- Build and maintain an evolving brand style guide for mobile experiences that extends Duke Energy's existing style guide
- Attend regular meetings with all five UX groups to discover and document common needs and opportunities for general improvements and consistency
- Maintain open and regular communication with the Duke Energy UX team

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Education: Bachelors Degree or a combination of education plus equivalent work experience
- Four to five (4-5) years of performing visual design with some experience designing for mobile and tablet preferred
- Graphic Design degree preferred
- Mastery of the concepts and tools that are necessary to produce and implement digital design, for example modern user interface design standards, Adobe Photoshop CC, Axure, Pixate
- Good listener and verbal communicator who is able to build and sustain positive and productive relationships with others
