Mobile Application Architect

For a major international client in Lausanne, we are looking for a:

MOBILE APPLICATION ARCHITECT

to design and oversee the development of all their mobile applications. Working closely with a team of developers you will ensure the highest quality of mobile applications, following industry best practice. You will also contribute to the organisation's technology roadmaps for mobile and software products.

Responsibilities will include:

- Assess feasibility and quantify development efforts for new mobile requirements
- Translate requirements into application level architecture to fit the existing solutions
- Design and document detailed architectures for mobile solutions on various platforms, eg iOS, Android, and Windows Phone
- Technical leadership for design, implementation and interface decisions regarding mobile application architecture
- Apply agile methodology across multiple on-site and near-shore development teams
- Influence the direction of the mobile technology strategy

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

- 5+ years experience of developing and deploying consumer-facing mobile software solutions on multiple platforms including iOS, Android and Windows Phone, for large international clients
- Solid design understanding and hands on coding experience in cross-platforms mobile applications using frameworks such as PhoneGap, JQuery Mobile, AppCelerator Titanium, Sencha Touch
- Proven expertise in designing mobile applications choosing architectural patterns which enhance the app performance (eg regarding the usage of caching, configuration management, connectivity, security, synchronization, web services integration, etc.)
- Comfortable speaking with Project Managers, ScrumMasters and e xperience in coordinating developers' teams
- Must enjoy being an active coder
- General understanding of mobile application distribution using MDM tools (eg AirWatch) would be an advantage
- Fluent English, French would be an advantage

This is a contract position with an international client for 6 months in the first instance, but with a good chance of extension into 2014.

The client is located on Lake Geneva, in Lausanne.

Info-Tech will provide advice and support through your relocation if you are working in Switzerland for the first time.
