Military Messaging Operations Consultant (NATO)

Need to provide continued acquisition and architecture support in the area of non-Real Time ACCS and TMD capabiltiies and military messaging. To support for future enhancements for Spiral 2, TMD and Add3, significant evolution and workload is expected in this area. This will require engineers with a strong background in military messaging, planning workflow and ADatP3. While a post has been proposed for hiring, indications are that a suitable candidate won't be available in time to support planned activities, or perform the required handover needed due to post reduction in this area currently scheduled for 2017.

Activity Details
- ensuring that operational, functional, ergonomic (HMI and workflow), performance and interoperability requirements for the Mission Planning and Current Operations subsystem of ACCS related procurement activities:
- liaising with SHAPE and representatives of the User Communities to provide guidance on the engineering impact of architectural and operational decisions in the Mission Planning subsystem of all ACCS related system;
- ensuring that operational, functional, ergonomic (HMI and workflow), interoperability and performance requirements for the Mission Planning subsystem of all ACCS related systems are properly reflected throughout the ACCS system engineering design, implementation, integration and test;
- reviewing the contract deliverables arising from the LOC1 and TMD contracts, to ensure that the contractor has correctly interpreted the relevant specifications;
- participating in contract milestone reviews, technical interchange meetings, contract deliverable reviews and other project meetings;
- monitoring the contractor's progress during the design, implementation, production, integration and verification of the ACCS software/hardware during all program phases, including the Replication phase;
- advising on methods of verification and validation with regard to the specified requirements, ensuring that documented requirements are correctly addressed in test plans and procedures, and test results are produced and analyzed to support verification and validation;
- keeping abreast of the current and future NATO Air C2 Operational Concept as far as the Mission Planning subsystem of all ACCS related systems are concerned;
- keeping abreast of current and future architecture and interoperability trends and standards, both within NATO and in industry;
