Migration Support Engineer

Projektbeschreibung
Migration Support Engineer is requiered by the one of the largest banks in Switzerland. Our client is looking for an experienced candidate to join their dynamic IT team in Zurich on a contract basis.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Planning and Analysis
- Create work packages and trigger handover process with respective Providers
- Track handover process until completion, challenge missing inputs and report any issues to Project Manager
- Answer questions on migration process and if needed run info sessions with Providers to explain their involvement (process, knowledge and tools in place to support this task)
- Design
- Trigger design review process with respective Providers
- Track design review process until completion and be the liaison between the Providers and the offshore development team to address any findings
- Implementation
- Be the single point of contact to answer any questions by the Consumers (how is the API used for the migration of the Call Points)
- Trigger the implementation review and sign off process with the Providers
- Track the implementation review process (primarily code and unit test results review)
- Testing
- Be the single point of contact to manage all the testing related questions (initial analysis and dispatch of issue to the respective support teams)
- Track the issues until closure (only if a project issues that we need to address)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Broad knowledge of the messaging domain, messaging paradigms and solid background in Web Services analysis, design and implementation
- Candidates with the experience in providing 2nd level support to Middelware Web Services in Java are preferred
- Experience in large infrastructure migration projects would be an advantage (Web Services migration)
- Competence in software development with common languages: JAVA (must); C/C++, .NET (as advantage)
- IBM Certified Application Developer - Enterprise PL/1 would be an advantage
- Fluent English, German is a strong plus
