Job Purpose
- SME are responsible for Incident and Change management for the Middleware Platform
- This Includes primarily on Middleware platform incident handling and high level troubleshooting and changed request execution.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Exposure in offshore Webserver will be preferred.
- Experience or familiar on tools like ticketing and monitoring tools will prefer.
- Willingness to work on flexible working hours including weekends
- Involved in Routine user support and troubleshooting.

Job Scope
- Should have at least 6 plus years' experience in Middleware Incident & Change Management.
- Collects and collates reports from the DC stakeholders.

Key requirements:
- Should be experienced in working in ITIL based tools (like Remedy)
- Good knowledge in Apache, Tomcat and WebLogic
- Webserver Administration on Windows and UNIX
- Knowledge on server start up and shutdown process
- New release deployment/patch upgrades
- Creation of new DB connection
- Thread dump analysis
- Extensive knowledge on UNIX, Pearl and WMI Scripting
- Performance analysis and tuning
- Should have installed and configured Webservers like Apache, Tomcat, IIS, OAS, etc
- Experience and knowledge in installation and configuration of Apache, tomcat Servers
- Knowledge on Incident and Change management process
- Should have good communication and customer interaction skills.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting (problem determination/resolution) skills.
- Optimise environment to ensure maximum system availability, performance and reliability.
- Knowledge of ITIL or equivalent processes (Incident, Change Process and Problem Management) is a must

Background:
- The candidate should be degree educated and needs to have at least 6 plus years solid experience of Middleware
- Added advantage to German Speaking candidates

Technology buzzwords:
- Monitoring and reporting tool.
- Tools: Remedy, Word, Visio, Excel etc.
- Server AIX, Solaris, Linux & Windows Server
- Web & Middleware stacks like WebLogic Application Server, MQ, Apache, Tomcat, and IIS.
- Scripting knowledge in UNIX and WMI.
