A respected international tier-1 banking client of mine is seeking a Middleware Administrator for a job opportunity in Zürich.

This bank has always been at the forefront of technology advancements and development of banking applications, and they currently need a Middleware Administrator. As the Middleware Administrator in Zürich, you will be a part of the L3 Web Infrastructure team which is responsible for supporting the production web and Application Server infrastructure. You will be responsible for installing and configuring the new infrastructure to support web applications, provide L3 support of web and application Servers, identify opportunities to automate processes, and provide consultancy to the application team to help them move to newer infrastructure.

Some key skills you will need for this role are:

- Strong Middleware administration knowledge
- Apache, Tomcat, WebSphere are VERY familiar tools and concepts to you, especially Apache
- Good UNIX and/or Linux skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Fluent English, and German would be an advantage

This is for a contract job with an initial duration of 6 months.
