Position: Microwave Materials Engineer

Rate: £24.64 per hour

Outsource UK Ltd is actively seeking to recruit a Microwave Engineer for a contract role on behalf of a client.

The Client:
A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

The Job:
The purpose of the Microwave Engineer role is to support the development of new and emerging technologies for utilisation in stealth materials.

Key Responsibility Areas
The successful Microwave Engineer candidate will be responsible for the following:
Undertaking simulations of both components and materials to assess their radar absorbing capabilities, and providing design guidance for such
Carrying out microwave measurements of materials and component
Preparation of technical reports, test procedures and other associated product documentation
Liaison with both internal and external customers

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
Possess an understanding of electromagnetic theory and principles
Some electromagnetic simulation experience is desirable
Microwave measurement experience would also be desirable
Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to use Microsoft office, particularly a good working knowledge of Excel
Membership of a recognised technical institute would be advantageous
