Microsoft SQL Developer

An opportunity has arisen for a talented SQL Designer/Developer to join a leading IT employer of choice. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing SQL Server based solutions for some upcoming critical projects within the clients GMF team. The successful applicant will need to be well versed in Data Warehouse principles, ETL tools and all round architecture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist business analysts and relevant stakeholders with data requirements gathering
- Assist Technical Architects and provide relevant input with regard to design of DW and reporting applications
- Build high quality and high performing DW and application solutions
- Ensure that Change management processes are followed
- Ensure that Development build standards are met and maintained
- Develop and maintain systems documentation
- Work proactively to ensure any problem areas are identified and fixed
- Follow escalation process as appropriate

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- 7+ years experience as a SQL Server Development or Support role
- Experience with analysing, designing and developing high performance Data Warehouses
- Experience developing ETL processes with SSIS
- Experience with writing SQL Queries incl. Function and Stored Procedure programming
- Experience using tools within Microsoft Business Intelligent Development Studio
- Strong Communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Self motivated and engaged
